First of all, the love story sucks. It keeps going back and forth between Evelyn, Rafe and Danny. By the end of the movie you don't really care who she ends up with, although I wanted her to be with Danny but he died. Second, the only good actors in this movie is Kate Beckinsale and Josh Hartnett. Third, Ben Affleck ruins the entire movie. I can't stand him as an actor. He's just horrible. Overall, I thought it was a good movie. The attack of Pearl Harbor is one of the best movie scenes ever made in history. I don't know how they managed to it but they did an amazing job. I thought it was a bit too long though. By the time they got to the middle of the movie with the attack, I just wanted it to be over. It was way too long. The movie really makes you feel for the characters that die and what really happened that fateful morning. The movie was really supposed to be about the attack of Pearl Harbor but instead they wanted to change it into a love story just like Titanic. I can understand why they do that but the love story is a bit cheesy for both Pearl Harbor and Titanic. The love story gives the movie a bit more attention for the movie goers which is why they add that. Overall, Pearl Harbor could have been better. They could have added a better story line for the lovers in this movie and give it a bit more dialogue but aside from that, the movie really gives you a perspective of what happened to all those who died during the attack. I think this is one movie that people will carry on for generations.
It's as awful as you've heard. Really.

This bloated, overblown, tediously overlong, hilariously cheesy 'Titanic' wannabe showcases plenty of expertise in the visual effects department and nothing but laughable bombast everywhere else. 'Titanic' worked because James Cameron knew how to find the balance between fictional, old-fashioned cornball romance... Full review
Pearl Harbor is without a doubt the worst world war 2 film of the past decade! The plot was lackluster and unoriginal, the acting pathetic for the most part, and the history inaccurate. It seems to be more preoccupied with portraying... Full review

Pearl Harbor will appeal to many with its big names, its schmaltzy and contrived love story, its special effects for their own sake and its simplistic appeals to patriotism, morality and retaliatory violence. Yet the reality is that its just... Full review

Pearl Harbor is a movie so spectacularly awful that it would be funny if it wasn't so infuriating. There hasn't been a big-budget re-enactment of the Pearl Harbor attack since Tora! Tora! Tora! in 1970, and, due to the utter... Full review

Ignoring the claims that this movie was so wonderful because Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett are "so-o-o-o-o hot," and that the "music was so-o-o-o good," I want to talk about all the historical inaccuracies about this movie. People get the... Full review

I saw this awesome and powerful movie in the theatre and I still like it.all the performances were well done as were the sets and people probably dont know this but it really was filmed in Pearl Harbor and the attack scene was sad heartbreaking and awesome all at the same time so people stop complaining over this awesome film and stop comparing it to the stupid boring way to long piece of garbage titanic cause pearl Harbor is at least entertaining while titanic just sinks. Pearl Harbor blows titanic away baby!
