Wow, I was very impressed when I saw Sex and the City in theatres. I really got sucked into the movie from beginning to end. There are parts that are really funny, parts that make you want to cry and parts that make you really mad. Even after 4 years since the show ended, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrell, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon have not lost their touch playing their roles. The movie continues where it left off with Big and Carrie who get together again in the very last episode and the movie continues with Big and Carrie looking for an apartment. They decide to get married but then at the last minute Big starts to freak out and changes his mind. Carrie ignores Big for an entire year and keeps receiving messages from him that he is sorry and suddenly changes her mind and decides she wants to get together with him again. At the end of the film, they have a small wedding ceremony and finally tie the knot. Charlotte has a baby with Harry, Samantha breaks up with her boyfriend Jerry after 5 years of being in a relationship with him and Miranda gets back together with Steve so it has a pretty good ending so the next movie that comes out will probably continue off with the ending to this movie. I've seen almost every episode at least 5 times so when the movie came out I definitely had to see it. I was not disappointed one bit. The movie was everything I expected. I never used to like Sarah Jessica Parker that much but when she dyed her hair dark brown in the movie I thought she was beautiful. I think Samantha is the one character in the movie who really matured since her relationship with Jerry. Before him, she used to have one night stands with basically every guy she went out with but then came in her own terms when she started dating Jerry. Their relationship lasted 5 years so she really became mature in her own way and she knows now that she can handle being in a relationship but in a way, she misses her old ways and begins to wonder if she should even be in a relationship. Anyway, the Sex and the City is a wonderful movie and is one of my all time favs. I've only seen it once but I definitely plan on buying it. It's on my list of things to buy. I'm really looking forward to the next movie and I know I will not be disappointed.

Cute enough for an evening's mindless entertainment, but exactly that and not a penny more. Put aside any thought you might have about not caring a great deal about what happens to a group of rich, superficial white women who (you... Full review

This movie was such a disappointment: so disrespectful to the series, the characters' original complexity, and women's complexity! I was particularly let down by the script. First of all, the jokes were not funny. From the 'Saint Louise from St Louis'... Full review

It was so awful it defies description. If you are really a "true fan"... you will leave quite bitter and feeling used. The movie literally contains plot lines that revolve around poop and fat jokes. Literally. Poop jokes and fat jokes.... Full review
