I first heard about the Dark Knight from my dad, and since the last Batman movie kinda bored me, I didn't think much. But, as I started seeing more and more of the commercials, I thought it would be awesome, especially with all the explosions! I totally went and saw it the weekend it was out, and I couldn't believe how incredibly amazing it was! This is definitely a great movie.

I am not a Batman fan. Not 1%. But that was back then, when this movie came out I thought "What's the big deal?" Luckily My mom and her friend wanted to watch it so I had nothing betterto do so I tagged along. I had been reading reviews that it's a excellent movie and when I watched it I was shocked. It was a instant classic. I could just imagine the future year 2050 watching this movie and loving every bit of it. Heath Ledger was one of the best greatest actors to set foot on stage. I not only watched this movie once , but twice; in the theatres! One thing I REALLY was mad about was The Dark Knight not winning "Best movie Of 2008." I couldn't belive it when Slum Dog Millionare won 8 oscars. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie, it really was but I personally think that the dark knight was better.

The title pretty much sums it up. I honestly hated this movie which isn't surprising because I hate every single superhero movie ever made. Heath Ledger is the only reason why I will tolerate this movie. He was amazing as the Joker and played him really well. He's amazing anyway. He was a great actor and is one of my fav actors, alive or dead. I don't see why everyone likes this movie so much. It was good the first time but now it's just getting way out of hand with everybody talking about it and obsessing over it. It's ridiculous. Every time someone brings it up I get mad. That's how annoyed I am with this movie. If Heath Ledger weren't in this movie, I never would've seen it in the first place. That's how bad it is. Every single actor in this movie is horrible except for Heath, Christian Bale and Gary Oldman. Thank god it didn't beat Titanic which of course I knew wasn't going too because Titanic has held the number one spot for the biggest movie ever made at the box office for 11 years and I don't see any movie beating it any time soon. Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean didn't beat Titanic so I don't see why The Dark Knight would. Re-releasing The Dark Knight to theaters again next year is an excuse to beat Titanic. It's actually cheating and doesn't count. People will most likely not go see The Dark Knight in theaters again anyway because of the DVD and Blu-ray disc release. To end this review, this movie is BAD, BAD, BAD. I only give it 5 stars because of Heath Ledger's performance.

Christopher Nolan has a vision. And whether you agree with it or not, he undeniably completes it in "The Dark Knight"--a vicious, engrossing, overwhelming, intelligent event- film that re-defines 'comic-book-flicks'. In Nolan's grim, dark-depiction of Gotham-City (the crime-ridden hell protected by... Full review
